"Battery White Easement Signing"
On
April 4, 2009 the Belle Isle Yacht Club signed a conservation easement
with the SCBPT protecting the National Register of Historic Places
property, Battery White. The signing took place during a
dedication ceremony in front of the earthworks.

Many
thanks to the SC Ladies Auxiliary, the Marion Light Artillery, the
Friends of McLeod, Sons of Confederate Veterans, the re-enactors, Dr.
Stephen Wise and W.J. Keith as well as Ted Ford the Town of James
Island and all the others that worked to make our "Christmas of 1862"
event a success. We'll see you again next year.
